Description

This map compares where there are cigarette smoking adults and adults who drink excessively within the US (by county and state).

These figures come from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System organized by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data is hosted via the County Health Rankings 2022 data layer, available within the Living Atlas

In this map, we can see where adults are likely to drink AND smoke, drink OR smoke, or neither. The corners of the legend tell us where the patterns are the strongest or weakest.

This uses the Relationship mapping style, available within ArcGIS Online.
