This map shows the mean hours worked by workers age 16-64 in the past 12 months. In many places, it is far above or below a normal 40-hour work week. Explore this pattern by state, county, and tracts throughout the US.

The data shown is current-year American Community Survey (ACS) data from the US Census. The data is updated each year when the ACS releases its new 5-year estimates. For more information about this data, source, and vintage, visit this page. 

Data shown is U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) current year 5-year estimates, Table B23020. Layers also contain data from Table B23025.
