Description

Have you ever seen a problem in the Esri World Imagery Map (aka "Imagery" basemap) that you wanted to see fixed?  This map enables you to provide feedback on issues or errors that you see in the Esri World Imagery Map.  The feedback will be reviewed by the ArcGIS Online team and considered for one of our updates.

To provide feedback on the Imagery basemap:

  1. Open this web map in the Map Viewer and navigate to the location where you see the issue.
  2. Click the "Edit" button on the toolbar and add a polygon feature on the map (use the "Open Issue" feature) to show the location of the issue.
  3. After drawing the feature on the map, you'll be asked to classify the type of comment and which map(s) you are commenting upon (choose the "Imagery" type) and also provide a brief description to make sure we understand the feedback.
  4. When you are done, click the "Close" button.

The ArcGIS Online team will review the feedback regularly and update the status as appropriate, which you may check on later.  If the issue is with one of the source data sets we use for the map, we'll forward the feedback to our data provider to be addressed in an update.  If it's something we can fix ourselves, we'll add a note to our system (no need to call Tech Support separately!) and address it in an update.  If we need additional information and you choose to leave your email address, we'll contact you directly.

We appreciate your feedback and helping us to make our imagery map better.

Unable to perform an edit on the MapViewer as described above, here is suggestion. French National Government publish area called ZICAD that should be blurred due to national security reasons. An update is avaible here with 528 polygons : https://data.geopf.fr/annexes/ressources/wfs/ortho.xml as a WFS service. Some are already blurred, but a lot aren't yet. Can you perform the blurriage ?

Hello, thanks for the information. We will work on blurring these areas.

Our area has drone-captured orthophoto imagery. The imagery you have for this area is outdated, dating back to 2022. Could you guide me on how we can use these images to update the basemap? Thank you in advance.

Please put the year each image was taken. Its tough on fire assignments to know which image layer to use.

Hello, would our World Imagery Wayback App be helpful? https://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?restrict=false&sortField=relevance&sortOrder=desc&searchTerm=wayback#content

I work for an Elecric Utility and we are using ArcMap, the current issue is when zooming in to the map at scale below 1:100, the basemap dissappears.

I'm seeing some serious issues with: https://elevation.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/WorldElevation/Terrain/ImageServer as the slope percent raster function version. It looks like some of the tile layers specific to Michigan were calculated with the X,Y, and Z values not in the same units, or not accounting for the z value change due to units. Some of the tiles state the elevation in meters is the same as if it were feet.
