Abstract: MV Parks Boundaries (Park Scale). This derived dataset is created by dissolving MV Parks parcels and other property interests. Boundary polygons are separated by developed roads, with in-holdings also being excluded. Undeveloped dedicated road areas that lie between these properties are included in the boundaries.Last Update - 2023-08-17 (park name change)

Purpose: This feature class displays, labels, and classifies boundaries of all Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, Ecological Conservancy Areas and Regional Park Reserves. Regional Greenways are managed under a separate feature class. The Metro Vancouver Regional Parks boundary file represents the legal interests for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, Ecological Conservancy Areas and Regional Park Reserves park classifications. Regional Greenway routes are available under separate feature class. Metro Vancouver has tenure in all the lands contained within these polygons. The majority of the interests are parcel-based, however Right-of-Ways and other corridor interests are also included in these boundaries. To the best of our ability, corridors are represented in their precise legal extents. Undeveloped road allowances are merged into these polygons, while developed roads are excluded and often bisect the parks. Parcel polygons are constructed using the ParcelMap BC cadastre.
